Cozy vegan shearling, modern antique hunting, and old world rugs...here's the 2024 home design trends we are predicting will take over.
1.Cozy Vegan
When sourcing for clients, I'm noticing that families are prioritizing comfort as we head into 2024. It's all about “what's the softest rug you carry”…eyes light up when we pull faux “vegan” shaggy sheepskin covered coffee tables…
The vegan sheepskin look is all about using super soft synthetic materials that give the appearance of nature inspired wool.
Quincy Bed
Cozy, chunky textiles make for a serene bedroom.
This quincy bed is a simple modern shape but the textile takes it to another level. So serene and we love how they mixed with warm wood nightstands.
2. Modern Antique Hunting
Old meets new is a fool-proof way to give a new space some character. We love rooms with a vintage, tattered rug or chewed up dining table.
The more distressed the better – here are the antique inspired pieces we are loving for design projects.
Clanton Aged Pine Dining Table
This dining table feels like you found it in a Belgian antique shop – the waxed pine design can be paired with your favorite slipcovered dining chairs or a classic black wooden style.
Its marks and distressing add a charm to the dining room. We love the relaxed, effortlessly cool vibe it gives a space.
3. Old World Rugs
There's absolutely nothing in the world like a handmade, vintage rug. I'm not even sure we can call this trend because it's the epitome of interior design in our opinion.
When you can't find the right vintage in a size and budget you need – these are the next best thing! With all the best qualities of a vintage rug – quality hand-knotted construction, assymmetry, bold colors, and muted intricate designs…we think these rugs are going to make a splash in 2024.
Claire Cloud Rug
This vintage Persian inspired rug is soooo intricate and lovely. We love the heirloom design and subtle color palette.
